- The most significant of the recent appointments is that of AbdulRasheed Shehu, the founder of AtikuKawai Media group
- Shehu has been an ally and associate of the former vice president for many years and his appointment is seen as a reward for loyalty
The appointment was announced via a press statement signed by the media adviser to Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe.
Abdulrasheed is a journalist with a proven media track record of excellence with a decade of experience on the job. He is a graduate of Mass Communications from ISM Adonai, Benin Republic.

Until his recent appointment, Abdulrasheed was part of the presidential media campaign committee for Atiku and the founder of the AtikuKawai Media group – an authorized media and publicity arm for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential ambition.

Dare Akinniyi, chief strategist, AtikuKawai said in a statement sent to Legit.ng:

Atiku spotted in Spain with Ndudi Elumelu, Timi Frank
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate was recently spotted in Malaga, Spain.
The former vice president was pictured with the minority leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and a former deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank.
The PDP presidential candidate left the country days after the party’s presidential primary which he won.
PDP support group to register 7,000 Nigerian youths as party members
In a related development, the PDP New Generation has revealed that 7,000 Nigerian youths are set to join the PDP ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The group also revealed that it will commence a 5-day nationwide distribution exercise of PDP membership cards to the youths scattered all over the country.
It said the distribution exercise will take place from Monday, July 4 to Saturday, July 9, and will be conducted by the zonal, state, and local government coordinators of the PDP New Generation across the country.
