President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, January 23rd, 2023, in Bauchi state, revised the promise he made to Nigerians during the 20215 and 2019 general elections.

Buhari during his courtesy call on the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Adamu when he visited Bauchi in continuation of the All Progressives Congress Presidential and Governorship Campaign rallies said he has not failed Nigerians based on his campaign promises in the 2015 and 2019 elections, The Punch reported.

He said,

“I have not disappointed anybody.”

On sighting the crowd who welcomed him in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Buhari claimed it was a demonstration of genuine love and loyalty to him from Nigerians, a report by Channels TV confirmed.

In a statement signed by the president’s special assistant on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, the President said,

“I normally call on Emirs and Chiefs, whether on political or personal tours to states to show my gratitude.

“I made a promise and pledge that I will serve Nigeria and Nigerians to the best of my ability and so far, I have not disappointed anybody.”

Legit.ng reported earlier that President Muhammadu Buhari will be visiting some prominent states in the country for an important assignment.

Bashir Ahmad, the president’s special assistant on digital communication, on Sunday, January, January 22, made this disclosure through a post shared on his Twitter page, sighted by Legit.ng.

According to the president’s aide, Buhari will visit some states in Nigeria to lead the campaign train of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and a foreign country for an official engagement.

In another development, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the explosion that disrupted a campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers state on Thursday, January 19.

In a tweet on Thursday, Atiku said he was in solidarity with the APC and some of its members who were affected by the disasters.

He tweeted:

“On behalf of my team, I stand in solidarity with the APC and the families of the injured. I wish the injured a quick recovery.”
