Protest rocks APC secretariat as Adamu is accused of collecting bribe

• Members of the FCT chapter of the APC have stormed the national secretariat of the party and demanded the removal of the chapter’s chairman, Abdulmalik Usman
• The protesters also alleged that the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu, has collected bribes from some politicians in the PDP in the FCT so that the party will still lose the capital to the opposition
• Usman is also accused of refusing to accept the result of the FCT 2022 congress as well as the names of the new executives

FCT, Abuja – The national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has received hundreds of protesters demanding that the FCT chairman of the party, Abdulmalik Usman, should be removed immediately.

This Day reported that the protesters are youths, women and men and said that the FCT congress 2023 must be recognised.

Latest protest at APC secretariat

The protesters said that Usman has refused to accept the new party executive of the FCT.

The protesters grounded activities at the party’s secretariat as they demanded that they must see the national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.

They were seen with different inscriptions that read:

“National Chairman APC, do not condone impunity”; “APC must not only preach equity and justice but must demonstrate equity and justice”, among others.

APC protesters accused Adamu of collecting bribes from PDP

The protesters accused Adamu of collecting bribes from certain politicians in the Peoples Democratic Party so that the umbrella party could win the FCT in the 2023 election.

“We want to see Adamu. He must stop the impunity by ensuring that Abdulmalik is not sworn in the third time. If he fails to address us, it means that he has collected money from the PDP so that APC will lose FCT again in the 2023 elections,” one of the protesters said.

Why is Adamu Conspicuously Absent At APC NWC Meeting With Tinubu, Governors?

Legit.ng earlier reported that the national chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, was obviously absent at the meeting of the party’s stakeholders with the presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Recall that Adamu allegedly wrote a letter to Tinubu, accusing the presidential hopeful of breaking his agreement with the party on the PCC’s list.

Though the party later dissociated itself from the letter, a source revealed that Tinubu had decided to take the bull by the horn and called all aggrieved members to the political round table.
