Breaking: Nigeria’s main opposition party PDP holds presidential rally in Edo, date, venue revealed

The presidential campaign train of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), is making a stop at the Southern Nigerian state of Edo, on Saturday, October 22.

The PDP bigwigs are expected to be at the rally which holds 10: 00 am on Saturday with all elected governors on the platform of the party have been invited.

The Director General, Atiku Presidential Campaign, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, disclosed this in an invite obtained by Legit.ng on Thursday, October 20.

According to Gov Tambuwal,

“All elected PDP Governors, Members of PDP National Working Committee, NASS Members, NEC Members, BOT, Members, State Chapters, Former Governors, Former Ministers, PDP Candidates; and Stakeholders to the EDO State Presidential Campaign rally.”

The venue for the event is the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, in Benin city Edo state.

Kaduna APC carpets Timi Frank, demands retraction on alleged PDP rally attack

In another report, the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State has debunked claims by Timi Frank that Senator Uba Sani, APC gubernatorial candidate has masterminded an unverifiable attack on a rally for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in Kaduna.

A statement in response to Timi Frank’s allegations signed by Alhaji Salisu Tanko Wusono, APC’s publicity secretary in Kaduna state, described Frank as a professional hireling on a new assignment to complement his income as the so-called Ambassador of United Liberation Movement for West Papua, to East Africa and the Middle East.

Wusono noted that the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress(APC) is perfect for the hatchet job of running his mouth, going by his antecedent, on a matter that he is ill-informed about.

Tinubu meets Atiku, Ayu at Abuja airport

Meanwhile, the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, met with his PDP counterpart, Atiku at the VVIP lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Monday night.

Despite their political differences and the heated campaign rhetorics, the two presidential candidates exchanged banter upon sighting each other.

In a video posted by media mogul, Dele Momodu, Tinubu also exchanged pleasantries with the national chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
